In another powerful demonstration of community pride and commitment to youth development, Jayson and The Jayson Tatum Foundation, refurbished the basketball court and refreshed the facility at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis – Mathews Dickey. Jayson, the NBA 2K25 cover athlete, teamed up with the 2K Foundations to give back to one of the Boys & Girls Clubs that helped shape his journey.
In 2024, Jayson and 2K partnered to refurbish and refresh the basketball court and facility at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis – Mathews-Dickey Club, a court where he himself spent countless hours playing as a young athlete.
Returning to a place where his love for basketball was nurtured, this project wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about creating a safe, high-quality space where kids could train, compete, and develop a passion for the game, just as he once did.
“I grew up playing at Mathews -Dickey, so it was an honor to partner with 2K to design this court. Someone inspired me to makeSt. Louis a better place, and hopefully they can continue to carry that…make St. Louis better.”
The newly refurbished court isn’t just a playground; it’s a symbol of opportunity and inspiration for the youth of St. Louis. In addition to the court restoration, the Mathews-Dickey Club facility received a refresh, creating an improved space for mentoring, learning, and community engagement.
This initiative marks another milestone in Jayson’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the city that raised him and setting a powerful example of how influential partnerships can bring about meaningful change. Young members of the Boys & Girls Club now have an upgraded space to hone their skills and build confidence, just like Jayson once did on that very same court.
