On Saturday, June 14, 2025, was a powerful reminder of what makes St. Louis so special – our people. In the wake of thedevastating tornado on May 16th, our community came together in a big way. Thanks to a partnership between TheJayson Tatum Foundation, St. Louis Area Foodbank, Chaminade College Preparatory School, KMOV First Alert 4, andKTRS, a Tornado Relief Donation Drive was organized to support those most affected by the storms.
And St. Louis showed up.
Thanks to your generosity, more than 52,000 pounds of food, hygiene items, and household cleaning supplies werecollected – necessities that will directly help families trying to get back on their feet. On top of that, morethan $7,000 was donated to the St. Louis Area Foodbank, ensuring even more targeted support in the days and weeksahead.
For The Jayson Tatum Foundation, it was an honor to be a part of this collective effort. Jayson has always been proud ofhis St. Louis roots, and this drive was an integral way we could provide another opportunity for fellow St. Louisans togive back too.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, sorted, packed or simply spread the word. Yourcompassion and commitment made a difference. And to the volunteers – thank you for giving your time, your heart, and your hands.
There’s still work to do, but this was a huge step forward. Together, we’re proving that no matter what comes our way, St. Louis takes care of its own.
